Junk! The first unit never worked right out of the box then the replacement unit worked for 3 months. It failed on a 111 deg day in Arizona. Neither the manufacturer nor Amazon will warranty it. Fortunately my car didn’t overheat but don’t trust your vehicle to this piece of junk fan controller!

Possible failure cause — Mounting method I see many reviews reporting units failing. I MAY have a fix, time will tell.My unit worked well for a couple of years and then failed to turn the fan on. I noticed that I could move the wire bundle and the fan would start. I spent about 1/2 hour trying to find which wire wire was faulty when I discovered that I could get the fan to come on by just flexing the thermostat housing away from the mounting surface.I finally decided that the encapsulated circuit board had a hairline crack in one of the copper traces. This could be caused by mounting the unit to a non-flat or vibrating surface, which would bend the housing. Since the circuit board is epoxy encapsulated, it would also flex and possibly rupture a trace and there’s no way to fix that since it’s encapsulated.I’m going to buy another one and this time:Put a rubber grommet on each mounting screw between the unit and the mounting surface. This would alleviate any flexing…
