Get’s the job done but slow at times Cricket’s Broadband service at the $50 a month tier gets meabout 2 weeks to 2 and a half weeks worth of fast service withno slow loading times but for another week or week and a halfit is pretty slow every month. It sometimes get so slowyoutube videos will not load or web pages; other timesit’s blazing fast. I think I have the plan that gets me5GB worth of data every month. The modem itself is a pretty good one and my first wirelessone though there are probably faster ones out there by now.Still this is a good wireless modem that works well withWindows compatible PC’s.I’ve managed to install it on both my Desktop PC andLaptop one (which is a Compaq Presario 2500 2580US seriesPC btw) which both had Windows XP on them and it runs fineunder both Internet Explorer 8 and Mozilla Firefox thoughin my opinion Firefox is faster and better to use for browsingthe internet and watching…

Happy I bought this broadband device at Radio Shack actually, on sale. The salesman tried to sell me the much more expensive Virgin Mobile, but admitted he didn’t have experience with any of them. Set up for the device on my Acer Laptop, was easy. I have a good signal everywhere, and at times an excellent signal. Couldn’t be happier, but of course, it can always be cheaper.

Great Modem; Great Flash Option Whoever decided to combine a USB modem that also uses a Micro SD card is genius. I never have to remember to bring along a flash drive as the Cricket Modem has the ability to carry as much stored data as I want via the Micro SD card. Also, Cricket has unlimited data transfer at the $50 tier and that’s average with the other carriers. I always seem to have 3 to 4 bars in the city or on the open road. I know it all depends on coverage area, so check your coverage area before rating this modem, or any other mobile broadband’s modem.
