Cute idea but doesn’t fit the castle very well I bought this furniture to go in the Melissa and Doug folding castle that my daughters LOVE, and although it looks like it matches, the furniture proportions are large for the rooms in the castle. We also have the Melissa and Doug Royal family, and they don’t fit in the chairs well either. Overall it is a great idea, the castle needs furniture, but this furniture doesn’t actually fit that well.

Pretty Furniture, Not a Great Fit Similar to what others have said, this is a very pretty wooden furniture set that matches perfectly with the Melissa and Doug Wooden Castle; however, I would agree with the other reviews that the furniture is not a great fit. The castle really isn’t meant to have a lot of furniture so the number of pieces is great. The furniture pieces are just not sized correctly to fit the little figurines that would typically be played with in the castle. I bought my daughter the Voila Medieval Royal Family Set and she already had the Melissa and Doug version and neither set fit in the chairs or in the bathtub, without cramming them in. They don’t sit well on the table/bench either and usually fall over. My daughter recently received a set of the Barbie Kelly Bunch Kids for her birthday and surprisingly, they are a better fit for the furniture than either of the Medieval families that she has. However, despite the problems I see with the furniture, my daughter still enjoys playing with it.

Great Addition to the Princess Castle I bought the castle last Christmas for my then 3 year old. This year for her birthday I gave her this set to go with it. She loves it. It has all the right pieces to go along with the castle. She loves playing with it. And these pieces are perfect size for the Disney Princess Favorite Moments figures or Polly Pockets.
