so little for so much……. This product is terribly over-priced. The box is the best part of this product, the photo on the front is cute. The “dish” is a saucer that would be used to catch drippings from a potted plant, worth about a dollar, the “paint” provided does not include the colors shown on the “finished product ideas”. Provided are yellow, red and blue paint. No green, orange or brown paint are provided. The photo on the cover shows 4 lady bugs, three are provided. The “gnomes” are worth about 39 cents each. In all the product should have cost $7.00-$8.00. For a few dollars this would have been a fun project. Do not waste your money.

My kids had so much fun… I recently set this gnome garden up with my two children, ages three and five. I thought this was the PERFECT spring project to rejuvenate those green minds from the recent winter season. The kit comes with a garden plate for the soil and the gnome habitat. IT comes with paint so that you can paint the rocks, gnome house, plate, and mushrooms with your own flare and personality. My favorite part of this project is that it really shows how you can truly create a little home for your art.The items it includes:1) gnome house for which you are responsible to pain the doors and windows of, make a roof out of gluing leaves and a chimney, and even allows one to take the roof off to place the gnome inside2) 3 pre-painted gnomes3) river rocks that you can paint with polka dots, stripes, or a welcome sign4) mushrooms that you can also paint the way you choose5) soil and seeds for their grass habitat6) Plate to paint and store the gnome home7)…

2 & 4 Year Old Love It I bought a fairy garden a while ago for my now 4-year-old. I thought I’d try again with gnomes for my 2-year-old. I skipped doing painting this time around, and just let them decorate with included items & plant the seeds (plus some random seeds from other places). The grass grows so quick, in just 2 days it was something to look at. After a week it was long enough to actually cut back. They love watering & examining it every day…and moving the gnomes around (they get lost in the grass as it grows!).I highly recommend this toy–as well as the more glittery fairy garden version.
